| Thursday the 18th of September 1975 saw the birth
of Clare! She was born as red as an apple with black curly hair,
as her mother describes her, whilst the British doctor took
one look at her feet and blurted out to mum "she'll be
a tall girl one day!" Clare doesn't know what went wrong,
as ever since the age of 12 she has remained 5ft 1.5inch with
a foot size number 36!
As a child she was rather reserved and spent most of her
time being creative, reading, daydreaming and most of all
observing people, surroundings, smells and energies. When
she did play with friends and brothers though, her vibrant
energy, sense of adventure and love for life, did indeed come
out. On one hand Clare can knock one out with her energy almost
verging on hyperactivity, whilst on the other she's a very
calm, balanced person and this comes out mainly in rough and
difficult patches of her life. So yes you can say she's an
extremist, enjoying the ends of both spectrums.
A distinctive feature in Clare's life is the zest for traveling
and discovering remote and distant parts of the world, its
cultures and diversity. At the age of 4 she was on her way
to America and Canada with her parents and since then she
has visited more than 20 countries with the highlights being
Peru, Kenya, Zanzibar, India, the Greek Islands and Sahara
Desert. |

She loves flying, the sky and formation of clouds,
as much as she adores the sea, its unknown depths and scuba
diving.
Coming now to Clare's life in the Theatre and TV career-which
at present take up most of her dedicated time. In 1990, at the
age of 15 Clare joined M.T.A.D.A., where she completed 5years
of training and graduated in performing arts. Her performing
credits so far include various leading roles namely Yerma, Salome,
Shakespeare's Juliet, Portia and one of the witches and has
also performed a one-woman show.
She is described as a very versatile actress with a camouflage
appearance, body control and strong voice. In this aspect
Clare herself says there's much more to achieve and she does
this with awareness as she enrolls in parts offered to her
on a constant basis. For more details go to the actress
for theatre.
The bridge between acting and TV can be seen on popular drama
series she took part in, mainly Delitti Maltin, Il-Pesta and
the most recent Madonna tac-Coqqa, for which she still has
to turn her head to all those who call her "Rita"
(the character's name). For more details go to the actress
for TV. |

Presenting is a skill on its own which she mastered
through years of experience. She says it's skill, talent, dedication,
humbleness and lots of endurance which can see one through the
world of presenting and what it entails.
Her TV credits include Inservik (Magazine prog), Tiramisu
(an evening show), Club Latino (a dancing show), Sat-8 (a
game show),T.E.K. (a high tech treasure hunt), 'Ta Gewwa'
(a European traveling show), Siesta (a 4 yr running daily
afternoon show),Candor (a cultural programme), CIBUS (an entertaining/cooking
