beef satay skewers |
| |
| Ingredients -
Serves 4 |
|
Method |
1kg beef, trimmed
50ml Grappolini Paneolio Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted ½ tsp salt
6 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp dark brown sugar
4 tbsp rice wine vinegar
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp red chili pepper flakes
2 tbsp honey |
|
Cut the
beef into very thin one-by-five inch strips and set aside. Blend
together the toasted sesame seeds and salt in a blender and
drizzle over the Paneolio to form a sesame cream. Mix the soy
sauce, Paneolio, sugar, vinegar, garlic, chili pepper flakes,
sesame cream and honey in a small bowl until well combined.
Place the beef pieces into the soy sauce mixture and gently
toss to coat well. |
|
Leave to
marinate in a refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Prepare
the grill. Soak the wooden skewers as needed in water for about
30 minutes. Arrange the beef strips on a sheet of wax paper
and carefully thread them onto the skewers. Place the meat skewers
onto a grill and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, or until
the beef is done and slightly charred.
Serve Immediately. |
| |
 |
|
| The marinating time may be increased to
24 hours. The wooden skewers should be soaked in water
to prevent them from burning on the grill. |
